    Rhythmic .Vs. Artistic Gymnastics?
My mum has found two gym’s for me, one specializes in Rhythmic gymnastics and the other Artistic. I’m 13 next week, most people say I am very tall as I am 5"5 and weigh about 9 stone, which the Doctor say’s is healthy for my age and height. Earlier on in my life, I have taken:
Swimming, Trampolining, Jujitsu, Dancing and Drama. I am not that flexible though, but I pick up things quickly if explained properly to.

Please, somebody help because I only have another few days to decide. My mum recommends Rhythmic because its more suitable for taller people, but the problem is they only train once a week and its only an hour session, I personally don’t think this will be very helpful considering the gym is about 25 minuets away. On the other hand, the artistic club trains 4 times per week and each session lasts two hours.

I am also currently doing gym (treadmills, bike..ect) whenever I am not doing gymnastics. My mum also says I can take cheerleading.

    Thank you

Second you are not tall for your age, im 13 and almost 5′5′ as well and i do artistic gymnastics, im level 6. its really fun and you do 4 event instead of one.

Also meeting one time a week for like one how is not enough. My team meets 4 times a week for 4 hours (well we compete like in going to compitions, i dont know it you compete or not)

well yeah for rhythmic you need to be really really flexible, for artistic you need to be strong(and brave)

You should do rhythmic gymnastics because rhythmics is better for taller people. (I’m also very tall for my age, and I had a hard time in artistic gymnastics). It is also better exercise, I’ve noticed. But since you can only be in your classes for an hour a week, make sure you practice every day, because you won’t move up if you just practice in your classes. And since you’ve done dance, rhythmics would be better because in all of your routines there will be lots of dancing. Even if you are not very flexible, you will become very flexible very quickly in rhythmics. You also get to do 6 events, floor, ball, rope, hoop, clubs, and ribbon. It is a very beautiful sport, and I would highly reccomend it.
    Good luck! :)

Well personally i think most people would prefer artistic gymnastics. it is was more popular. It would be difficult to start out both but Im pretty sure rythmic would be harder because your muscles are already developed more than if you started early, so it woulnt be as easy to get flexible.

Go with artistic, its a lot of fun
