Obviously you can dance to an extent but it will only benefit you to take professional lessons. So you can get feedback from a teacher on things you specifically need to work on. If you look around you might be able to find local youth groups that have dance classes for free until you can take better ones.

Natural talent can only take you so far.
Really successful dancers have worked long and hard at their trade, practiced until their feet BLED.

By all means try out, but JYP may well ask what training you’ve had and unless you are a hidden genius somebody that has had even the most basic training will have the edge over you.

This is not to discourage you, follow your dream, if you want it badly enough you’ll do whatever it takes to succeed.

most dance schools do private classes, google dance schools in your area and contact some and ask if they do it , i have just started private lessons in the royal ballet school,,,well me an 5 others

Hi, I just answered a question for you yesterday! I will try to answer another.

Most dance studio’s offer Private Dance lessons. Just do what I told ya yesterday, but ask them if you and your friend can just have Private Dance lessons and NOT go to normal classes.

If you can’t find an actual teacher, I recommend subscribing to namgeun on Youtube. They post Kpop dances (mirrored, even) and then you can just download the file (If you don’t know how, search KeepVid), slow it down yourself (VideoLan is very easy for that), and just follow along.

I’m not sure about a specific teacher, but you can try the dance studios and see if they teach Hip-Hop. That might be your best chance. You could always try learning online with all the video tutorials of the kpop dances…But there isn’t a specific "kpop dance" class.

you can dance at any age but if you don’t want lessons that would be kind of hard maybe you could learn from a friend, watch youtube videos but i would recommendd at least a few dance lessons i bet there are some recreational ones in you city.
